Al Arabi is a Qatari football club based in Doha who plays in the Qatari Stars League.

History

Al Arabi was founded in 1952, originally called Al Tahrir. They are the second oldest team in Qatar.

Al Arabi enjoyed its first major success in 1978, triumphing in the Emir of Qatar Cup.

Al Arabi has won seven league titles, nine Emir of Qatar Cup crowns and six Sheikh Jassem Cup titles.

In 1994-95, Al Arabi were runners-up in the Asian Club Championship, losing the final to Thai Farmers Bank 1-0.
