Al Ettifaq FC or Al-Ettifaq Club is a professional Saudi Arabian football club which has its base in Dammam who competes in the Saudi Pro League. Ittifaq means cooperation and this team got established through three clubs merger together in Dammam in 1944.

History

This is the first professional Saudi team to have won an international title, the Arab Club Champions Cup in 1944. This is also the first team to have won the Saudi Premier League without any defeat. Moreover, this is the first team from Saudi Arabia to win the Persian Gulf Champions Cup, having 13 different titles to their name.

Al Ettifaq have won the Pro League twice, in 1982-83 and 1986-87. In the 1983 title, Al Ettifaq became the first ever Saudi team to win the title without a defeat. They were twice runners-up in 1987-88 and 1991-92.

In July 2023, Al Ettifaq appointed ex-Liverpool midfield legend Steven Gerrard as their new manager. They also signed England international Jordan Henderson.

Also known as Ettifaq Football Cup, the nickname allotted to the team is Etti, Faris Ad-Dahna (The Knight of Ad-Dahna) and the Commandos. Founded in 1944, the home ground of the team is Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, which has a seating capacity of 26,000.
