Kokkolan Palloveikot initialized as KPV is a professional Finnish football club which has its base in Kokkola. Presently, this team plays in the Finnish First Division, Ykkönen. The club runs many teams, including one men’s team, one women’s team, ten boy’s team and seven girl’s team. Moreover, they even run an Academy and a Soccer School. 2011 season saw this team competing in the First division of Ykkonen, which was entirely administered by the Football Association of Finland. For the Finnish Football system, this was the second tier.

Major Achievements

KPV won the Finnish championship award in 1969. They came in the second place in this championship in 1973 and were in the third place in 1971, 1975 and in 2005. This club was the finalist club of the Finnish Cup title in 1982 and in 2006.

At the European Cup competition, in 1970-71, this club played against Celtic FC with a score of 0-9, 0-5. In 1974-775, at the UEFA Cup, they played against 1. FC Koln team, scoring 1-5, 1-4.
