VfL Osnabruck (Verein für Leibesübungen von 1899 e.V. Osnabrück), founded in 1899 is a multi-sport club of Germany situated in Osnabruck, Lower Saxony. The club currently fields teams in various sports including tennis, table tennis, basketball, swimming and gymnastics, but is best known for the football section.The team is successfully coached by Uwe Fuchs. The team plays their matches at Osnatel-Arena with a capacity of 16,130. The home games of the team are played in a uniform of purple & white striped shirt and purple shorts and socks, where as the away matches are played in white uniform. The team has been able to gain several honors to its name. They were a winner of Oberliga Nord (II) Champions thrice in the year 1969, 1970, 1971, Oberliga Nord (II) vice-champions in the year 1972 & 1973, Oberliga Nord (III) champions thrice in 1985, 1999 and 2000, won Gauliga Niedersachen champions twice in 1939 and 1940, German amateur champions in 1995 and many more with its consistent performers.
