Tokyo Verdy is a Japanese professional football club which is based in Tokyo, Japan. This team plays in J. League Division 2. In 1969, it was founded as Yomiuri F. C. and is one of the most decorated teams in the J. League, which includes 7 league titles, 6 JSL Cup/J League Cups, 5 Emperor’s Cups, and even an Asian Club Championship title.

The team shares their home matches with F. C. Tokyo team, at Ajinomoto Stadium which has a seating capacity of 50,000. However, most of the matches are also played in Tokyo National Stadium. Nicknamed as Verdy, the owner of the club is Tokyo Verdy Holdings. The chairman of the club is Yasuo Shimada and Ryoichi Kawakatsu was the manager of the club.
