The Korea Republic National Football team symbolizes the Republic of Korea in international football matches. This team is even called as South Korea and FIFA recognizes this team as Korea Republic. Korea Republic team was in Group B at the FIFA World Cup in 2010 in South Africa. They got qualified to the knockout stages of the World cup after their 2-2 draw against Nigeria. In the knockout stage, they lost to Uruguay by 2-1.

With right to AFC Asian Cup, the team were the winners twice, in 1956 and in 1960, and runner-ups in 1972, 1980 and 1988.
