Orlando Pirates FC is a South African football club based in Parktown, Johannesburg. They currently feature in the Premier Soccer League.

Orlando Pirates FC were established in 1937 and are one of the oldest clubs of South Africa. They are also one of the most successful ones, having once been known as “The Happy People”. They won the National Professional Soccer league in 1971,1973,1975 and 1976. They won the National Soccer League in 1994 and the Premier Soccer League in 2001 and 2003.

Orlando Pirates won the African Champions Cup (now known as the Champions League) in 1995 and the African Super Cup in 1996. In 2005 they were bestowed with the Superbrand status.

Orlando Pirates play their home matches at the Coca-Cola Park in Johannesburg that can accommodate 59,611 spectators. They beat the nicknames “Buccaneers”, “Bucs”, “Sea Robbers” and “The Black Ones”.
