Platinum Stars is a South African football club based in Phokeng, Rustenburg. They currently feature in the Premier Soccer League.

Platinum Stars are the historical descendent of Highlands Park but after the old league was disbanded. But then long time fan of the club and businessman Larry Brookstone purchased the club and made it an amateur club again. Soon the club was ready to become professional again.

Platinum Stars merged with Silver Stars and were rechristened as HP Silver Stars, which was subsequently shortened to Silver Stars. In late 2006 they won the inaugural Telkom Knockout tournament.

Platinum Stars play their home matches at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium that can accommodate 42,000 spectators.

In May 2006 Toyal Bafokeng Holdings bought a 51% stake in the Silver Stars, which was later renamed as Platinum Stars. In 2009 the company bought the remainder of the shares as well.
