Kaizer Chiefs is a South African football club based in Soweto, Johannesburg. They currently feature in the Premier Soccer League and are the most successful club in South African football.

Kaizer Chiefs were established on January 7,1970 in Soweto, Johannesburg mainly by Kaizer “Chincha Guluva” Motaung who has returned from the USA. They were one of the first local clubs to turn professional and have consistently garnered success both in South African and African football.

In 2005, though, Kaizer Chiefs abruptly withdrew from the CAF Confederation Cup and were banned from all African competitions until 2009.

Kaizer Chiefs play their home matches at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium. They bear the nickname “Chiefs” and “Glamour Boys”.
