Glentoran FC is a Northern Ireland football club based in east Belfast. They currently feature in the IFA Premiership and finished second in the league in the 2007-2008 season.

Glentoran FC were established in 1882. They won the Irish championship for the first time in their history in the 1893-1894 season and have won the championship a total of 22 times. Glentoran have also won the Irish Cup 20 times and the Irish League Cup on six occasions.

In 1914 Glentoran FC won the Vienna Cup, becoming the first British team to win a European trophy, but as the UEFA were not established at the time, this triumph is not recognized offcially.

Glentoran FC featured in the olf European Cup and the Inter Cities’ Fairs Cup. In the 1973-1974 season they reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup. They reached the final of the Setanta Sports Cup in 2008

Glentoran FC play their home matches at the Oval that can accommodate 15,250 spectators. They bear the nicknames “The Glens” and “The Cock ‘N Hens”. Glentoran foster massive rivalry with Linfield FC.
