FK Ventspils is a Latvian football club based in Ventspils. They currently feature in the Latvian Higher League and have won the league three times in their history.

FK Ventspils were established in 1997 when FK Venta and FK Nafta merged together. Venta were one of the strongest sides in Latvia in the 1960s and had won the Latvian Cup in 1967 and the Latvian league in 1969. But they went into a decline after that and couldn’t really recover. FK Nafta, on the other hand, were founded in 1995 and won promotion to the 1st. League in their second season of existence.

Since their ‘formation’ in 1997, FK Ventspils have become one of the best and most consistent sides in Latvia. They won the Latvian Cup in 2003 and won the Cup again in 2004 and 2005.

FK Ventspils play their home matches at the Ventspils Olimpiskais Stadions that can accommodate 3,200 spectators. They bear the nickname “Yellow-Blue”.
