A professional football club from Uruguay, Montevideo Wanderers FC, or more popularly known as Wanderers, Bohemios or just Vagabunds, is based in Montevideo. With more than four home fields held over the last few years, Wanderers currently play their home games in Viera Stadium, which is located in the Prado neighborhood. Some prominent players from the team include Pablo Bengoechea, Obdulio Varela, Jorge Barrios and Enzo Francescoli.

With numerous titles under their belt even from the amateur era, Wanderers formed a paraller organization to the FIFA recognized Uruguayan Football Association, termed as Uruguayan Football Federation. Their championship wins under this organization are not recognized by the AUF. Apart from title wins in the league system, the team has also made 6 appearances in the Copa Libertadores.
