Viking Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club based in Stavanger. They currently feature in the Norwegian Premier League and are one of the most successful Norwegian clubs, having won eight Norwegian leagues and five Norwegian Cups.

Viking FK were established in 1899 and featured in the cup final in 1933. They established themselves as a major Norwegian national club from then on and won the Cup in 1953 and 1959. They also won the league in 1958.

After a quiet 1960s, Viking resumed dominated Norwegian football in the 1970s and won the league title from 1972 to 1975 and did the double in 1979. Viking won the league in 1982 but were relegated to the second division in the mid 1980s.

Viking bounced back soon and even won the league in 1991. They have not won the league since then though.

Viking FK play their home matches at the Viking Stadion that can hold 16,600 spectators. They bear the nickname “The Dark Blues.”
