FC Slovan Liberec is a Czech football club based in the city of Liberec. They currently feature in the Czech first division.

Slovan Liberec were established on July 12,1958 as TJ slovan Liberec after Jiskra Liberec and Slavoj Liberec were merged together although the club’s origin can be traced way back to 1921.

Initially Slovan Liberec endured a lot of time in the lower divisions of the Czech football league and reached the second division only in 1977.

Slovan Liberec made it through to the Czech first division only in 1993, incidentally also the year that the Czech domestic football was reformed.

They have maintained their top flight status since and were the champions of their nation for the first time in 2002 and also became the first club outside Prague to win the league. They won the league again in 2006.

Slovan Liberec play their home matches at the Stadion U Nisy that can host 10,000 spectators.
