Sportklub Rapid Wein is an Austrian club based in the country’s Vienna. They currently feature in the Austrian Bundesliga and are one of the most successful clubs of Austria. They are often known as Rapid Vienna.

SK Rapid Wein were established in 1898 as Ester Wiener Arbeiter-Fusball-Club and on January 8,1899 were rechristened as SK Rapid Wein. Wein were one of the best known clubs in earlier European football when Austrian football was hugely strong.

Wein won their first Austrian championship in 1912 and have gone onto win the league a massive 32 times, the last one coming as recently as 2008. They won the Austrian Cup for the first time in their illustrious history in 1919 and have won the tournament a total of 14 times.

SK Rapid Wein play their home matches at the Gerhard Hanappi Stadium that can accommodate 18,400 spectators. They bear the nicknames “The Green-Whites”.
