Club Social y Deportiva Flandria was founded in 1941, by a group of textile workers. They began their association with AFA in 1947 and by 1952 they had moved on to the AFA lower leagues, after winning the Tercera de Ascenso. Currently they play in the Primera B Metropolitana, or the third division of the Argentine Football Association.
Their most notable title wins are the Tercera de Ascenso in 1952 and the Clausura, in the Primera Division C, in 1998. Emmanuel Culio is one of their most notable former player.
