Toni Kroos is a German professional football player who currently plays as the attacking midfielder of Bayern Munich. Born on January 4, 1990, in Greifswald, East Germany, Kroos is also known as the older brother of Felix Kroos, the forward player of Werder Bremen.
Kroos started playing in his youth by joining a local club called Greifswalder SC from 1997 to 2002. Later, he transferred to Hansa Rostock, where he played for four years before moving to Bayern Munich’s youth division. It was in Bayern Munich that Kroos eventually turned pro in 2007, but was first a part of the second team. He got his chance to play for the first team in 2007. By 2009, he was sent on loan to Bayer Leverkusen for one year, but has since returned to his original club after the loan expired.
Kroos is also a part of the German national team, although he joined the team only in 2010. He was, however, a part of the Under 17, Under 19, and Under 21 German national teams for a long time. Currently, he is known to be a player of both the national team and the Under 21 national team as Kroos is still 20 years of age.
