Adriano Correia Claro, better known simply as Adriano, is a Brazil international football player who currently features for the Spanish and European giants Barcelona. He can play either as a full-back or as a right-sided or a left-sided midfielder.
Adriano made his professional debut for Brazilian side Coritiba FC in 2002 and showed his versatility and two-footedness. He was signed by Sevilla in 2004 and soon established himself as one of the best players for the Andalucian giants. He won back-to-back UEFA Cup titles with Sevilla in 2006 and 2007 and scored the first goal for Sevilla in the 2007 UEFA Cup final against Espanyol.
Adriano joined Barcelona in the summer of 2010 for €9.5 million plus a conditional fee of €4 million, a deal that included a buyout clause of €90 million as well. He has been used largely as a utility player and has won La Liga in 2011, Copa del Rey in 2012, Champions League in 2011 and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2011 and the Spanish Primera Division again in 2013.
Adriano made his international debut for Brazil in 2003 and has played in over 15 international matches for his country, winning the Copa America in 2004.
