Christian Dannemann Eriksen was born on 14 February 1992 in Middelfart. This attacking midfielder is a Danish professional football player who plays club football for Manchester United.
Having previously played with the Odense Boldklub, Christian was named as the Danish U-17 Talent of the year in 2008. He got this award prior to joining the Ajax team in 2008.
At a young age of 18, Christian is the youngest member of the Danish squad to have appeared at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. His debut came in 2010 in the month of March, whilst playing for the Danish national team. This five feet nine inches athlete made international caps of 4 and the shirt number allotted to him is 21.

His football passion started in his hometown, Middelfart prior to his third birthday. In 2005, he joined Odense Boldklub and competed in the Danish youth championships. After losing in the semi finals against the Brondby IF, he was named as the “Best Technical Player” of the tournament. The next year, his team won the tournament when Eriksen made his goal in the finals.
In 2007, Eriksen was called by the Denmark U-17 team and by 2008; he managed to impress the selectors by scoring 9 goals in 16 games for the team and was named as Danish U-17 Talent of the year in 2008. He was also one of the four nominees for the Danish Talent of the year award for 2008, but this title was won by Mathias Jorgensen. Till February 2009, he played in 27 games for this team. Later on, he played 8 games for the Denmark U-18 and U-19 teams during 2009. By February 2010, Erikson received his first senior Denmark team selection call, with which he made his international professional debut in a friendly match against Austria team. This was his first match when he became the fourth youngest full international player in Denmark.
In 2008, he signed a two and a half year contract with Ajax Amsterdam. This transfer fee which the Odense Boldklub team received was estimated at one million Euros. He got promoted to the first team squad in 2010. Within one month, he made his first team debut for the Dutch team in Eredivisie against NAC Breda. In the month of March, in 2010, he scored his first goal for Ajax with 6 – 0 win against Go Ahead Eagles team in the Dutch Cup.
Ultimately, on 10th April 2010, he extended his contract with Ajax till 2014. Eriksen went ahead and played in the final of the Dutch Cup beating the opponent team by 4 -1. At the end of his first professional season at Ajax, he played in 15 competitive matches, scoring one goal and having made his international debut for Denmark.
He moved to Tottenham in 2013, impressing across six-and-a-half seasons with Spurs who were UEFA Champions League runners-up in 2018-19. He was the club’s Player of the Year twice; 2013-14 and 2016-17. He left Spurs for Inter Milan in 2019, winning the Serie A in 2020-21.
At Euro 2020, held in mid-2021, Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s first group game against Finland. He was rushed to hospital and stabilized but did not play football again for six months. He had a cardioverter-defibrillator implanted following the incident, which meant he had to leave Inter Milan due to Italy’s rules.
He joined Brentford in January 2022 on a six-month deal where he impressed, keeping them in the top flight, prompting a transfer to Manchester United in July 2022 on a three-year deal.
Erikson received the KNVB Cup in 2009-10 season.
He received the U-17 Talent of the year award in 2008.
