Jürgen Kohler is a famous German footballer and a football manager. He was born on October 6, 1965 in Lambsheim, West Germany. Kohler is recognized as one the best center backs of his time. Also he is considered as his country’s most excellent center back of all time. His team won the 1990 FIFA World Cup and the 1996 UEFA European Football Championship.

He started his professional career in 1983, wherein he played for SV Waldhof Mannheim. In 1987, he switched to FC Köln and stayed two years in that club. In 1989 to 1991, he transferred to FC Bayern Munich that is considered as the most successful club in German football and famous for its professional football team. He expanded his international career in football and joined Juventus FC in the same year. He stayed in Juventus until 1995. This club is the most successful team in Italian football and the second most successful European club of the 20th century. In 1995–2002, he went back to Germany and played for the BV Borussia Dortmund, he ended his career by getting sent-off by this club.

After his playing career, he managed the German U-21 and became sports director of FC Bayer Leverkusen in 2003 to 2004. In 2005 to 2008 he accepted coaching jobs for some football clubs. However in July 2009, he announced his comeback to football career and played for the Alemannia Adendorf.
