Arda Turan is a Turkey international football player who currently features for the Spanish football club Atletico Madrid. He is a versatile football player who can play either as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.
Turan commenced his professional club football career at Galatasaray in 2005 and was on their books until 2011. He established himself as one of the best and most promising young players in European football, scoring 45 goals in 194 league matches.
Turan won the Turkish Super League in 2007-08, the Turkiye Kupasi in 2004-05 and the Super Kupa in 2007-08.

Atletico Madrid signed Turan from Galatasaray in August 2011 for €12 million, making him the most expensive Turkish football transfer of all time. He was impressive in his debut season for Atleti, winning the UEFA Super Cup in 2011 and the Europa League in 2011-12.
Turan made his international debut for Turkey in 2006 and has featured in over 50 international matches for his nation.
