Cicinho is a young Brazilian international footballer who currently plays for the Italian giants AS Roma. He is rated as one the best right backs in the world and is famous for his attacking propensity.

Cicinho commenced his professional career for the Brazilian club Botafogo in 1999 and after playing for a succession of Brazilian clubs such as Atletico Mineiro, he was signed by Spanish and European giants Real Madrid in the summer of 2005 for 4 million euros.

Cicinho was slated to be a huge success at the Santiago Bernabeu but he was far from it. But he couldn’t get to play too much in Madrid and missed two-thirds of the 2006-2007 season for Real.

He was sold to AS Roma for 11 million euros at the start of the 2007-2008 season after Real Madrid felt that he was surplus to requirements for them.

Cicinho has been a Brazilian international since 2005.
