Jean-Francois Gillet commenced his professional club football at Belgian giants Standard Liege in 1998 and played for them for the 1998-1999 season. In 1999 he was signed by Monza and in 2000 was snapped up by AS Bari.
Gillet has been playing for Bari since then and has featured in over 250 league matches for them.
