Emmanuel Eboue is an Ivorian Coast international footballer who currently features for the English Premier League giants Arsenal. He is a versatile footballer who can play either as a right fullback or as a right winger.
Eboue is a graduate of the Jean-Marc Guillou’s football academy in Abidjan and moved to Belgian side Beveren in September 2002. After three impressive seasons there, he was signed by Arsenal in January 2005 on a four-year contract for a transfer fee of just over 1.5 million pounds. He made his debut for the Gunners in the FA Cup against Stoke City.
Emmanuel Eboue soon earned a regular place in Arsene Wenger’s starting xi at right back but in the 2007-2008 season he was used mostly as a right winger. He has been linked with moves away from the Emirates but he still remains an important of Arsene Wenger’s team.
Eboue made his debut for the Ivory Coast in September 2004 against Sudan and played in the 2006 African Cup of Nations and in the 2006 Germany World Cup.
