A football defender from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Julio Cesar Coelho de Moraes Junior began playing football in the youth division of Bang Atletico Clube in 2001. He turned pro with the same club the next season, but moved on to America-RN in 2003. Midseason Cesar moved to Club de Regatas dos Flamengo, where he remained till 2005. Despite over 10 appearances with the first team, Cesar was unable to score.
In 2005, Cesar moved to Marilia Atletico Clube for one season, after which he moved to Cruzeiro the next season. After making over 15 appearances with the team, Cesar was loaned out to Associacao Desportiva Cabofriense in 2007, mid season he was loaned out once again, this time to Clube Nautico Capibaribe, where he scored five goals in the 26 appearances he made with the first team. In 2008, Cesar was loaned out to his current club Goias EC.
Some of his top honors include the Taca Guanabara title in 2004, as well as the Rio de Janeiro State league title the same year, and the Minas Gerais State league title in 2006.
