An Uruguayan footballer, Jorge Luis Anchen Cajiga began playing professional football in 1999, with Danubio F.C., with whom he made over 150 appearances. Anchen remained with the club till 2006, during which time he also experienced a loan spell of one season to Argentinos Juniors. Following his return from Argentina, Anchen joined Bella Vista, where remained till 2008. In 2008, Anchen moved out of the country once again, this time to Sweden, to join AIK, where he only remained for one season, after which he joined his current club, San Martin de Tucuman, in Argentina.

Anchen has made 6 appearances for the Uruguayan national team, at the senior level, and has also represented his country at the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship. Anchen was also a part of the team which played for the country at the Copa America in 2001.
