An football midfielder from Brazil, Gerson Alencar Lima Junior, or Gerson Magrao, began playing in the youth division of his current club, Cruzeiro EC, in 2002. After year he began playing professionally with the same club, but moved onto Feynoord in 2004. Magrao remained with the club till 2007, and made 6 league appearances, after which he was loaned to Clube de Regatas do Flamengo in 2007.
After a successful stint, Magros signed a two year contract with the club, though he was loaned to Ipatinga FC for one season, with whom he made 10 league appearances and scored 4 goals. He returned to his current club, Cruzeiro EC in 2008, where he had made over 15 appearances and so far, has scored two times.
Some of his top honors include the Guanabara Cup in 2007 and the Rio de Janeiro State league title in 2007.
