Maicon Douglas Sisenando, most commonly known as Maicon, is a Brazilian international football player who currently features for the English and European giants Manchester City. He plays as a right back and sometimes as a right winger, and is considered as one of the best in the world in his position.

Maicon commenced his professional club football career at Cruzeiro Esporte Clube in 2001 and three years later after featuring in 57 matches for the Brazilian giants, was signed up by French principality club AS Monaco for whom he featured in 59 matches in Ligue 1 in two seasons.

In the summer of 2006 Maicon was signed by Inter Milan on a five-year contract. Maicon featured regularly for Inter Milan during his six years in the blue and black half of Milan and was involved in a brawl with Valencia player David Navarro in the 2007-2008 UEFA Champions League semi-final, second-leg match at the Mestalla for which he was banned for three matches.

Maicon established himself as one of the best players in his position at Inter from 2008 onwards, and won Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League with the Milanese giants in 2009-10. He also won the Scudetto with the Nerazzurri in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and the Coppa Italia in 2010 and 2011.

Maicon is also a regular right-back for the Brazil national team and made his debut for his nation in 2003. He has since featured in over 60 international games.
