An Argentine footballer from Lomas de Zamora, Damian Albil began playing professional football with Club Atletico Independiente, in 2000. He remained with the club till 2004, and was part of the winning team in the Apertura 2002. In 2004, the goalkeeper moved to Estudiantes, and was the reserve goalkeeper for the Apertura 2006 tournament win.
