An Argentine footballer, Enzo Nicolas Perez, began playing professional football with Godoy Cruz, where he was taken up from the youth club. He made his debut in 2003, and remained with the club till 2007. Scoring a fifth minute goal against Belgrano de Cordoba, during a match held on the 9th of September, 2006, Perez made history in more ways than one. This goal was the first one by Godoy Cruz in the top division, as well as the first goal by team from the Mendoza Province.
The very next season Perez shifted to top division club Estudiantes de La Plata, his current club where he plays as midfielder. He has made over 40 league appearances with the team so far, with only one goal to his credit.
