Alessandro Matri is an Italian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Juventus. He plays as a striker and is rated as one of the better players in Italy.

Matri developed at the youth academy of Italian and European powerhouse AC Milan and made his debut for the first team in 2002. He was officially on the books of Milan until 2007 but that was his only league appearance for the club.

During his tenure at Milan, Matri played on loan for Prato,Lumezzane and Rimini and Matri was signed by Italian club Cagliari in 2007. His impressive performances for the Sardinians saw him earn a loan-move to Juventus for the 2010-11 campaign, and he was snapped up on a permanent contract thereafter by the Bianconeri.

Matri was crucial in Juve’s Serie A title in 2011-12 and also won the Supercoppa Italiana.

Matri made his international debut for Italy on March 29, 2011 against Ukraine in Kiev in a friendly international.
