Andrea Cossu commenced his professional club football career at Olbia in 1996 and played for them for one season. He signed for Hellas Verona in 1997 and went onto play for them until 2005, scoring 7 goals in 91 league matches.
Cossu played for Cagliari for the 2006-2007 season, featuring in 22 league matches. In 2007 he moved back to Verona and in January 2008 was signed back by Cagliari.
