Emanuele Calaio is an Italian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Napoli on loan from Siena. He plays as a striker and is known as a prolific footballer.
Calaio commenced his professional football career at Torino, making his first team debut against Reggina Calcio on 6 January 2000, he scored a goal for Torino three minutes into his debut. He made 20 appearances in total for Torino before going on loan.
Calaio was at first sent on loan to Ternana and then played for a short period of time with Messina. In January 2003 he was signed by Pescara Calcio.

It was at Pescara that Calaio established himself as a goalscoring striker and helped the club win promotion back into the Italian Serie B in 2003. He scored 21 times in his first season at Pescara and went onto score 27 goals in 70 league matches.
Calaio was signed by Napoli in 2004 and he went onto feature successfully for the revived team. He featured in a total of 97 league matches and scored 34 goals, earning the reputation as one of the best strikers in the country.
In 2008 he was signed by Italian Serie A side AC Siena and scored a total of 46 goals in 148 league matches before moving back to Napoli on loan in January 2013 for the rest of the 2012-13 campaign.
