Julio Cesar Soares Espindola, commonly known as Julio Cesar, is a Brazil international football player who currently features for the Italian giants Inter Milan. He is a goalkeeper and is said to be one of the best custodians in Europe.

Julio Cesar came through the youth ranks at Brazilian giant Flamengo and made his debut for the senior side in 1998. He played for Flamengo for six years, featuring in 129 matches.

He was signed by reigning Italian champions Inter Milan in 2004 and was promptly sent on loan to Chievo Verona for 6 months until the end of the 2004-2005 season. But Cesar failed to make any appearance for Chievo.

Julio Cesar was recalled to Inter Milan at the start of the 2004-2005 campaign and after impressing in several matches, he was virtually made the first choice custodian for Inter Milan in the middle of the 2005-2006 season. Julio Cesar has been a first choice for Inter Milan ever since and has been the fulcrum for Inter Milan as they won the Serie A titles (on the pitch) in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. He also help his team win the Coppa Italia and the UEFA Champions League in 2010.

Julio Cesar is also a Brazilian international and won Copa America with his nation in 2004. He was the third choice goalie for Brazil in the 2006 Germany World Cup finals.
