David Albelda is a Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish club Valencia. He plays as a central defensive midfielder and is regarded as one of the best in his position of all time.
Albelda has always been with Valencia and made his first team debut for Los Che in 1996. He played on loan for Villarreal in 1996-97 and 1996-99 and since then has become the fulcrum and captain of Valencia.
Albelda won the Primera Division title with Spain in 2002 and 2004, and also the Uefa Cup in 2004. He has always been a vital player for Los Che and has made almost 350 La Liga appearances, and has played in the Champions League for them as well.
