Pablo Daniel Osvaldo is a young Italo-Argentine footballer who currently features for the Italian side Fiorentina. He plays as a striker and is regarded as one of the most promising young strikers in Italy.
Pablo Osvaldo commenced his professional career at Club Atlético Huracán in the Argentine second division in 2005 and was signed by Italian side Atalanta (then in the Italian Serie B) after he has spent less than a year with his Argentine club.
Osvaldo played the 2006-2007 season for another Serie B side Lecces after the two clubs agreed on a co-ownership deal. He scored 8 goals in 31 appearances for Lecce and was signed by Fiorentina in the summer of 2007.
Pablo Osvaldo made his debut for Fiorentina in September 2007 against Livorno and would also go on to score a lot of important goals but none more significant than his wonderful overhead kick against FC Torino on the last day of the 2007-2008 season that made UEFA Champions League football a reality for Fiorentina.
Pablo Osvaldo won a dual Italian and Argentine citizenship in November 2007 and decided to play for the Italian U-21 national side.
