Federico Martin Higuain is an Argentine striker who plays professional football in Argentina. The son of Jorge Higuain, and brother of Real Madrid star Gonzalo Higuain, Federico began his playing career in 2003, at River Plate. He was at the club for 5 seasons although he spent two of those five seasons on loan to Nueva Chicago. His loan spell was wonderful as he scored 32 goals in almost 60 games. Attracted by his ability, Turkish side Besiktas hired Federico in 2007 and after 14 games and 2 goals, sent him on loan to Club America, in the Mexican league. While Federico was at Club America for the initial part of 2008, he moved permanently to Independiente in the latter half of the season. An extremely versatile player, Federico has played in a variety of positions including central midfielder, left-wing and even as the second striker on some occasions.
