Born in Montevideo, Guillermo Daniel Rodriguez Perez is a professional football player who currently plays in the top-flight in Argentina. Rodriguez began his professional career at Danubio in 2004. In two seasons, he managed only 15 appearances although he did manage to score a goal. His low appearances for Danubio were mainly because he was on loan to Atlas, in his first season, where he played almost 30 games, scoring four goals.

In 2006, he spent a year on loan to French side, RC Lens but didn’t gain any game experience there as he appeared just twice on the pitch. In 2006, Rodriguez decided to end his loan time and came back to Argentina, where he joined Independiente. Since then, he has become a regular member of the first team and in his 70-odd games, has scored three times for the club.
