Manuel Almeida Gomes de Andrade is an experienced Portuguese international footballer who currently plays for the Italian giants Juventus. He is a centre-back and is reputed to be one of the best in the world.

Jorge Andrade began his professional career at modest Portuguese side Estrela da Amadora in 1997 and in the summer of 2000 he was transferred to Portuguese giants FC Porto. After just two seasons he made the big move to Spain, to the Galician side Deportivo la Coruna for over 12 million euros. With Depor, Andrade reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League in the 2003-2004 season.

Jorge Andrade made 151 appearances for Deportivo in his five years at the Estadio Municipal de Riazor from 2002 to 2007. Andrade was signed by Italian giants Juventus in the summer of 2007 but tore a ligament against AS Roma and was sidelined for the rest of the 2007-2008 season.

Jorge Andrade is an established Portuguese international centre-back. He made his debut for his nation in April 2001 ad featured for Portugal in the 2002 World Cup and Euro 2004.
