A midfielder from Argentina, Neri Raul Cardozo began his career with his current club Boca Juniors in their Youth Division. Picked up by the senior squad, Cardozo made his debut for the club against Gimnasia Esgrima de La Plata in 2004. Eventually becoming a valuable player for the team, he has been instrumental in many achievements of the club. These include a Copa Libertadores championship title, two Copa Sudamericana titles and also numerous Recopa Sudamericana titles. Apart from this, he has also been a part of the team for its 2005 Argentine Torneo de Apertura title victory, and the 2006 Torneo de Clausura win.

Cardozo was also a part of the team which played for the 2007 FIFA World Cup, and also scored a goal in the semi-finals against Etoile Sportive du Sahel, a Tunisian club. They lost in the finals to AC Milan. He has also been a part of the Argentine team for the 2003 U - 17 World Cup, the Argentine U - 20 team which played for the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship and is on his way to becoming a star player for the Argentine national team.
