An Argentine player from San Nicolas de los Arroyos, Javier Yacuzzi began his football career with a Second Division team, Club Atletico Platense. Though, currently he plays for the First Division team, Arsenal de Sarandi. This skilled defender shifted from his first club to Club Atletico Tigre, which was in the Primera B Metropolitana, but in 2004 he once again returned to Primera B Nacional when he joined up with Gimnasia y Esgrima, of Concepcion del Uruguay.
The same year Yacuzzi signed up with Tiro Federal, and was instrumental in the team winning the Apertura 2004, as well as the consequent promotion in to the top division. But the 2006 season witnessed Yacuzzi make another shift, this time into his current team Arsenal. Once again he was crucial in the team gaining 5th place, which led to the teams qualification for the Copa Libertadores, a first for the team.
In 2007, Yacuzzi further proved his talent, when he scored two goals in the Copa Sudamericana. The match was against Chivas de Gaudalajara, whom they beat 3-1 at the Estadio Jalisco.
