Andres Scotti Ponce de Leon is a Uruguayan footballer who is comfortable playing both in the midfield and in defense. He began his career in 1996, when he turned out for Central Espanol in Uruguay. A year later, he moved to Wanderers for another season before moving to Chilean Primera Division side, Huachipato. He played at Huachipato for two seasons and then was on his way to Mexico and CF Puebla. In 2001, after just one season in Mexico, Andres returned to Wanderers in his home country before moving to Nacional in the beginning of the 2002 season.

Not one to stay in one club for too long, Andres moved to FC Rubin Kazan in the Russian Premier League where he played from 2003 till the end of 2006. In the beginning of 2007, the transfer window’s opening led to a loan deal with Argentinos Juniors for Andres, where he has stayed since then.

At the international level, Andres Scotti has represented Uruguay at the 2007 Copa America tournament.
