Matteo Sereni is an Italian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Torino. He plays as a goalkeeper.

Matteo Sereni started his professional club football career at Sampdoria after progressing through the club’s youth academy. He was officially on the books of Sampdoria until 2001 and was a regular for them in the last years of his Sampdoria career.

In 2001 Sereni made the bold move to England and to Ipswich Town. But he failed to impress at Ipswich and return to Italy in 2003. He played for Roman side Lazio. But he never managed to convince the Lazio unit for a regular staring berth and in four years managed a mere 31 league appearances.

In 2007 Torino signed him and he garnered quite a good number of league matches for them in the 2007-2008 season.
