Samir Handanovic is a Slovenia international football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Inter Milan. He plays as a goalkeeper and is rated as one of the best players in the country.
Handanovic developed at the youth academy of Domzale and after spending the 2003-2004 season in the first team was signed by Udinese in 2004. He subsequently went on to play on loan for Treviso, Lazio and Rimini and was drafted back into the Udinese first team set-up in 2007.
Handanovic since became a first-team regular for Udinese and went on to make 182 league appearances for the Udine outfit and earning him a name for himself as one of the goalkeepers in Serie A.
In July 2012 Italian giants Inter Milan signed Handanovic from Udinese for €11 million and he became the Nerazzurri’s first-choice goalkeeper rightaway.
Handanovic made his international debut for Slovenia in 2004 and has gone onto become the number one custodian for his nation, making over 55 appearances.
