Samir Ujkani is a young Albanian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Palermo. He plays as a goalkeeper.
Samir Ujkani was born in central Kosovo and moved to Belgium and played for the youth side of Belgian powerhouse Anderlecht until June 2007. He made 10 appearances for the Reserves and in June 2007 moved to Palermo on a five-year contract.
Samir Ujkani was quickly drafted into the first team at Palermo and served as an unused bench in two UEFA Cup matches for Palermo and was also on the bench for a number of Italian Serie A matches too for Palermo.
Samir Ujkani is now the third choice custodian for Palermo for the 2008-2009 season.
Samir Ujkani received his Albanian passport in the summer of 2007 and is now confirmed to be part of the Albanian national team set-up.
