Alessandro Gamberini is an Italy international football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Napoli. He play as a defender and is a very reliable one as well.
Gamberini started his professional club football at Bologna and made his international debut for them in the Italian Serie A in the 1999-2000 season. He featured in 78 league matches for Bologna and moved to Fiorentina in 2005 and became a regular centre-back for the Viola and is regarded as one of the best central defenders in Italy.
After playing over 200 matches for Fiorentina, Gamberini joined Napoli in the summer of 2012 but has failed to play regularly for the Naples outfit.

Gamberini made his international debut for Italy against South Africa on October 17, 2007 in a friendly international. He was part of the Euro 2008 squad for Italy and was called up only after captain Fabio Cannavaro injured himself.
