Andreas Isaksson is an experienced Swedish international football player who currently features for the Dutch powerhouse PSV Eindhoven. He plays as a goalkeeper.

Andreas Isaksson started his professional career with his hometown Swedish side Trelleborg in 1999 and moved to Italian superpower Juventus in 1999. He stayed at Juve for two seasons but failed to manage a single match in the Italian Serie A and was transferred to Djurgarden in Sweden. After three seasons and 75 league matches, Isaksson was signed by French side Rennes in 2004 and he played for them for two season, featuring in 62 French Ligue 1 games.

Andreas Isaksson was signed by Manchester City in 2006 for 2 million pounds but due to ankle and knee injuries he failed to play for the Man City first team.

Dutch powerhouse PSV Eindhoven signed Andreas Isaksson in the summer of 2008.

Andreas Isaksson made his international debut for Sweden in 2002 and has played for his nation in 59 international matches. He made his international debut against Switzerland in March 2002 and featured at Euro 2004 and 2006 Germany World Cup as his national side’s regular first choice goalkeeper.

He has won the Swedish Allsvenskan twice consecutively with Djurgårdens IF and was voted best goalkeeper in Allsvenskan four years in a row from 2002-2005.
