In 2001 Leon Cort was signed by South end United and played a total of 137 league matches for them in three years and scored 11 goals. He also managed to play 130 consecutive league matches for them and in 2004 summer moved to Hull City on a free transfer where he scored 10 goals in 86 league matches in two sesons.

Stoke City signed Leon Cort on a permanent deal for a transfer fee of 1.2 million pounds in January 2008 and he has carved a place in the Stoke first team.
