Leon Terence Anthony Cort of an English football player of Guyanese descent who currently features for the English Premier League club Stoke City. He plays as a defender.

Leon Cort commenced his footballing career at non-League Dulwich Hamlet in 1997 and in 1998 moved to Millwall. He couldn’t manage a single league match for the first team in the three years that he stayed at the New Dean and played on loan at Forest Green Rovers and Stevenage Borough during his Millwall period.

In 2001 Leon Cort was signed by South end United and played a total of 137 league matches for them in three years and scored 11 goals. He also managed to play 130 consecutive league matches for them and in 2004 summer moved to Hull City on a free transfer where he scored 10 goals in 86 league matches in two sesons.

In 2006 Crystal Palace signed Cort and Cort couldn’t settle that well and was loaned out to Stoke City for 2007-2008.

Stoke City signed Leon Cort on a permanent deal for a transfer fee of 1.2 million pounds in January 2008 and he has carved a place in the Stoke first team.
