David Barry “Dave” Kitson is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Stoke City. He plays as a striker.

David Kitson started his professional club football career at Cambridge United in 2001 and played for them for two years until 2003. He scored 40 goals in 102 league matches and was a regular for Cambridge.

David Kitson was signed by Reading in December 2003 for 150,000 pounds and he played for five years both in the Premier League and outside the top flight. He scored 54 goals in 135 league matches for the Royals and after scoring against Middlesbrough in the Premiership in the 2007-2008 season, he became the highest goalscorer at the Madejski Stadium with 37 goals.

In July 2008 David Kitson was signed by Stoke City for 5.5 million pounds.
