Gary James Cahill is an England international football player who currently features for the English and European giants Chelsea. He plays as a central defender.

Cahill started his professional club football career at Midlands club Aston Villa in 2004 and featured for the Villans until 2008. He scored two goal sin 28 Premier League matches and played on loan at Burnley in the 2004-2005 season and at Sheffield United for three months in the 2007-2008 season.

Cahill was then signed by Bolton Wanderers in January 2008 and developed quickly there. He was awarded with the “Best Newcomer” at Bolton and over the years established himself as one of the best English defenders.

In January 2012 Chelsea signed Cahill from Bolton, with the centre-back having made 130 league appearances for the Trotters, scoring 13 goals in the process. He won the FA Cup and the Champions League with the Blues in 2011-12.

Cahill made his international debut for England in September 2010 against Bulgaria at Wembley and part of the Three Lions’ squad for Euro 2012.
